From Discovery to Results: Leveraging Existing Projects to Drive Measurable GHG Reductions

Presented by:

Amanda Warwood, CEM and Jean Malafronte, PE

ANDRIS Consulting LLC

ABSTRACT:

As global climate concerns intensify, organizations are looking for ways to reduce their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. By reframing climate action as a process of discovery and alignment—rather than starting from scratch—the process described in this presentation empowers organizations to act decisively. It builds internal momentum, demonstrates early wins, and creates a clear, data-driven roadmap for achieving long-term climate goals. The approach is adaptable, replicable, and particularly valuable for municipalities and groups with constrained resources.

Attendees will learn about GHGs and their importance, components of GHG inventories, reduction goal guidance, and how to identify and quantify capital projects that are already moving the needle on reductions. The presentation will also describe how the City of Wilmington, Delaware has advanced its climate work using this approach.
