12 Lessons on Applying Stormwater Management to Transportation Projects 

Water is our most precious natural resource, and it is everyone's responsibility to help protect that resource for today as well as the future.  Our country's stormwater drainage system is a pathway directing every drop of water into our natural streams, rivers, and lakes.  These resources must be conserved; therefore, we must consider how to safeguard our stormwater system from pollution.  We must realize that our every action has an effect on our water.

Applying stormwater management to a linear transportation project has always been complicated.  Ms. Woodworth will present the audience with 12 lessons that demonstrate how simple, low-maintenance stormwater management BMPs can be seamlessly integrated into transportation projects, the process of permitting these BMPs, and the methods used ot maintain them.

Ms. Jenni E. Woodworth, P.E., is a Senior Water Resource Engineer for A.D. Marble & Company.  A.D. Marble & Company is an employee-owned consulting firm specializing in environmental resource studies, cultural resource studies, and water resource engineering services.  Ms. Woodworth's area of expertise includes Community Outreach and Education, Sustainable Stormwater Deisgn and Permitting, Stormwater and Flood Audits, Stormwater Construction Inspection, Hydrology and Hydraulic Analysis, Erosion and Sediment Control Design, and State and Local Permitting.  She has over thirteen years of professional experience and is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania, New York, New Hampshire, Delaware, and Maryland.  She is also a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Controls and Certified Professional in Stormwater Quality.  She has worked on a variety of projects, from large Pennsylvania Turnpike reconstruction projects to small private site developments, always assisting her clients with the most economical, construction and maintenance friendly, and appropriate stormwater management facilities.
